What is a therapy?

Therapy often referred to as a psychotherapy or a counselling is a type of talking therapy, which is used to help you with your emotional, mental and health conditions.

Counselling involves talking to a trained therapist, which allows you to look deeply into yourself, exploring all worries, problems, anxieties and traumas you have experienced. It empowers you to look and deal with emotions, life situations, unwanted habits or patterns of behaviour, stress, a wide range of mental health issues.

Online Counselling

Engaging in counselling either by phone or video-link will feel different from usual face-to-face meeting.  It may be the first time you have used this approach and this can seem daunting.  However, it has been recognised that sometimes people find it easier to express themselves online than actually being in the room with their counsellor.  Telephone or web-cam conversations can sometimes feel different in both pace and tone.

My experience in both private and charitable activities confirmed the immense value that online counselling offers.

Please find a list of reasons for choosing online counselling:

  • You can have a counselling session from your safe space, there is no need to travel to meet me.

  • It is much easier to coordinate your schedule, especially if you need to travel from a distance, there is no need to accommodate travel time.

  • There are no physical constraints that may potentially stop you accessing counselling.

  • There is no need to turn your video on, if you do not want to be seen by me.
